Peace, love, pug
Our little one is a happy day;
'tis at our greeting in her love.
Sometimes the joy of her eye's gloom
Doth like a vision haunt the air;
Even as the sun with its broken glare,
Its glamour was a restless light.
Yet, like the sun had left its trace,
Mine was the hue of her eye.
